PRAYER
Prayer can be defined as a spiritual communication between man and God, a two-way relationship in which man should not only talk to God but also listen to Him. Prayer to God is like a child’s conversation with his father. It is natural for a child to ask his father for the things he needs.

There are many promises in God’s Word to encourage us to pray, such as: “He shall call upon me and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him” (Psalm 91:15); “And it shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24); “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). The Scriptures tell us that we are to pray for one another and also assure us that God hears and answers prayer.

  Prayer unlocks all doors
We are in a generation where people feel like they are too busy to speak to God. Due to our so called busy schedules,we feel so tired to have some quality time with our God yet for a conversation with another person is found so much easier to initiate and sustain for hours.

Being a christian, you ought to know that Prayer sustains your intimacy with God. We should know that prayer means more than just talking to God.

Effective prayer involves reading the word of God. Reading could not be the suitable word.Can we use "studying?" because studying God's word involves reading,listening,meditation and its spiritually interactive because it involves the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
 
You might have so much worries and perplexed about so many things in your life,may be even at your work place or family. What does prayer have to do with this?Prayer removes negative feelings and fills us with God’s peace, love and compassion. Prayer changes our perspective; shifting our focus from the seen to the unseen, from the temporary to the eternal.

You need to create time for prayer in which ever circumstances you are in.As human beings,we easily start a conversation with one another and we even sustain it for longer hours but not even 10 minutes with  God.why? God is not like your bosses at work who nearly reduce you to "kissing their shoes"
What I mean to say is" When God talks about fearing Him,He simply wants you to have reverence for Him,not shying away from Him."
The way you intimately talk to your partner,friend or wife/husband, God wants you to present yourself to Him even more simpler than that because He is the closest friend that you have.

The moment you fail to present your self before Him in prayer, He misses you so much because you are a son,a daughter and above all a friend.
It is true some times we fail to pray because we feel like not doing it.May be because we are tired,stressed and all other reasons you can give. However amongest all the reasons you can possibly give,the only viable reason is NONE because He is the solution to whichever reason you would have.

I will give you a simple formula  to use in a time when you dont feel like praying:(Will share this in detail in my next post)

• you must have a prayer notebook and a pen to use.
• you must be willing to write what ever thing that come in you mind,your disappointments,your happy moments at the end of the day, your supplications, all these written in form of prayer at the end of the day.
• you must be willing to speak your heart.
• Write your prayer relating to scriptures..The bible should be very close to you. 
• Write to Him as a friend,dad,lover whichever name you wish to call Him.
